+1 to Olympic Brewing Supplies in Bremerton. I have had nothing but great experiences. The owner/employees are very knowledgeble and the prices are great. It sounds like its worth the drive it will save you money.

The relationship between beer and smoked meat

I love the process of refining recipes. Both in brewing and BBQing. I also love all of the DIY involved. I have made many modifications to my BBQ to improve its performance.

So i brewed a Belgian Tripel that just turned out to be almost too much! It has a very strong flavor. It is very dark because i did too small of a boil. I can tolerate it but others cant. I also brewed a Sam Adams Boston Lager clone that turned out wonderful. I thought i would try mixing the two...

I recently made a Sam Adams Boston Lager clone and did the same thing. I left the stopper in the primary for a week before i racked it to the secondary and dry hopped it. Before i pushed it into the carboy it had popped out and the carboy was wide open for who knows how long. Not only that but...

    Lager fermenting @ high temps

I brewed my first lager a week ago (1/18/10). A Sam Adams boston Lager clone. I let the beer ferment in my basement which is not heated. Just my luck we have freakishly warm temps here in the Pacific Northwest and my beer has been fermenting at around 60 degrees. I know this is a high temp for a...

    bottling from a keg..Possible??

I am going to be kegging my next batch of beer this weekend. I am wondering if there is a way to bottle it from a keg w/co2 to eliminate the sediment in the bottom of the bottle caused by the yeast activating from the addition of priming sugar. I would like to have some on tap and some in bottles.
