Hey, what did the wit beer recipe end up looking like. I'm thinking of doing a partial mash, I'd be interested in knowing if anyone has any suggestions

    Storing Hop Pellets

If I have left over hop pellets, can I just put them in a zip lock, throw 'em in the fridge, and be able to use them a few weeks later? Or do they go bad? How would one store left over hops?

    Umm should I be worried

I know, a 6.5g would be nice, that's what I used to have but I moved to another state and had to sell it. The homebrew store by me only sells 6g. So, I'm not sure if those carboys can be shipped or not

    Umm should I be worried

Well the problem has been diverted. I removed the the airlock, not without incident. When I took it out, dry hops went spewing all over the walls, very messy, very funny. Definitely a good things that I got to it then, as Walker-san mentioned, the hops were starting to clog the airlock tube. I...

    Umm should I be worried

Ok so this is the third batch that I've started in my young brewing career. Here's what's happening. I brewed on Sunday. On Monday I saw the beginnings of fermentation. But now things are going a little crazy I think. The water in the airlock has turned a light brown and a foam is coming up out...

    taking beer onto an airplane...?

I'm going to be flying across the country soon and wanted to take some of my homebrew with me. I was wondering if one can bring beer onto a plane. And also if this could somehow ruin the beer, although I don't see why it would. Anyways, anyone with some experience with that? woops, i meant to...

    Star anise?

I must say that licorice/star anise sounds appealing, especially in a stout. Also with some chocolate malt might be good. I'm just wary of making a bad batch, in terms of leaving it in too long, or not enough, haha that's the trick though isn't it.

    Star anise?

Has anyone ever used star anise? I took a wiff of some in the spice rack and thought it could go well with some styles. Anyone? I could be way off here, I don't know.

How to make a double bock?

Well it might be the ambient temperature in Phoenix about once every couple of years. haha. But I haven't looked around too much on the web for a recipe, I figured some of you more experienced people might have some info on a good recipe.

How to make a double bock?

It would defintely be interesting project, which would require some research beforehand. I guess back in the day brewers used the ambient temp to lager, so obviously it can be done. There doesn't seem to be as much info out there on doppelbocks as there is on other styles, which suprises me...

How to make a double bock?

Hey there, I have bottled one beer so far, and have another on the way (in the secondary that is) and I was wondering the process/recipes for a double bock. I had a beer called the Celebrator, I believe that's what it was called, and thought it was very good. Anyways, any...
