There are quite a few threads on the subject, most just say let it condition longer. Couldn't find any real solid "this is why"
I did 3 weeks in fermentation and 3 conditioning..
Wondering if it's my temperatures? Maybe I fermented at little too cold?
It's just a light beer and I'm...
I'd be OK with that if it's 3.5 on either side. As it stands it lets the freezer get up to about 7 degrees over before it kicks on.
I don't want to set it too low though because then it gets too cold.
I'll try the Styrofoam and see if that helps otherwise I'll just have to hope my first...
oh ok cool i have the stuff to do that.
I'm not sure what jumpers or anything I looked on the manual and it doesn't say anything about it.
It just has a little dial and it's supposed to be set it and forget it I think. Factory set at 3.5 degree deferential that is not adjustable.

So I got a johnson A19 temperature controller, and this thing just does not hold a temperature.
I have it set to 64 degrees. The ambient temperature gets up to about 70 before it kicks on then it drops down to 60 before it stops..
It stays at 68 - 70 degrees for a good amount of time and...
yeah i'm actually having some trouble with my regulator not holding the temperature.. not sure what the problem is.. If i crank it down it fires up and gets it real cold then come back later and it's gone up 10 degrees...
I'm using the johnson a19.. Maybe if I attach it it will work better...
I have a chest freezer that I put a temperature regulator on. I understand that the actual brew is warmer than the ambient temps so I'm wondering what is a good general rule?
is 61-62 degrees too cold?
I'm going to put together a system so I can keep my fermentation temperatures in check. Wondering if those same temps are good for bottle conditioning?
As in do I need to have a similar setup for my bottles or do they need warmer temperatures?
Hello,
In the video of Mr. Beer brewing it says to stir before pitching the yeast, but in the written directions it says to stir after pitching the yeast.. Can someone tell me which it is?
Thanks
I have a freezer in my office (which is actually a converted garage)
Problem is I need it as a freezer. Though I may be able to switch to a fridge/freezer combo then temp control the fridge if that's even possible.
There is also the problem of having no idea how to install a temperature...
I live in south texas it's hard keeping anything at 76 degrees or below during the summer.
My office has it's own AC so I should be able to keep it close, but I'm wondering if the temperature gets up to 78ish for a few hours in the middle of the day does that do significant damage?
Any...
