Bottled today and the zest if 7 limes seems about right. Will know more after carbonation.

May want to step down the voltage on the power supply.

Cost around $15. Had to replace a 12v power supply with a 5v.

Anyone know approx how may limes it will takes to produce 2oz of lime zest? 6-8? Brewing a homemade recipe and want to add 2oz of fresh lime zest at end of the boil.

I was able to get my stirplate working last night. Picked up these from local harbor freight and stacked them 4 high. Had issues with it throwing the stir bar so i replaced my 12V power supply with a 5V supply. Tried a 9V and still had issues with the stir bar. Video

I have come to the conclusion that I need to increase my magnetic force. Tried with a couple of plastic cups and it worked until I filled them with water.

I have a growler from the local brewery that I will try. Looking at the fan, I can adjust the magnets closer to the bottom of the lid and still have adequate clearance.

Are there any containers at the local market that have flat bottoms that could be used with a stir plate? I have a cider container but it doesn't have a flat bottom and doesn't work with my home made stir plate.

I picked up 10 5mm Dia x 3mm thick Rare Earth magnets from these guys http://stores.ebay.com/bluestone002 on ebay. I just installed them on my DIY stirplate and they worked well with my 1" stir bar when placed directly on top of the stir plate. I dont have a flat bottom glass container to...
