Why should you avoid using layer styles? I don't think it would be any problem to use it. Problem is using photoshop in the first place (if you are an perfectionist). Anything with text or vectors should be dealt in illustrator or inDesign. But since none here is going for commercial use of...
Hey guys,
Have anyone tried Brewster from brewolution? Their website: http://www.brewolution.com
Seems it has a pump to circulate the wort and a built in chiller.
Is it any good?
I was going to ask why you had a goverment warning but then i read it. Haha pretty funny. The bar code i don't understand though. Other then that i like it :)
Photoshop for images non vector based objects like text etc.
Illustrator for the vector based object, text and graphics.
Then make an A4 put 6 labels on there and make a pdf. Send if to the printing office and ask for paper with glue on the back.
True for art but not for package design. Package design should be heads on. You will need to look at the segmentations who buys the product. From there, design the product/label. You would never go 100% black malt in a beer and think it will be good. Some stuff just doesn't make a good executed...
Looks great!
If you like i can send over these hops. Attached a jpeg. The resolution on this picture is pretty bad but it is vectorbased. Send me a message if you want it and i will send it over.
Cheers!
For you guys with illustrator i created a fast vectorbased White house that you can play around with. Attaching a preview.
Drop me a message if you want the .ai file and i will send if over.
Cheers!
I got my water report today and by comparing my water below to the "Target ranges for mineral levels in beer brewing"
from another site i find these values to be horrible. Is there something i am missing?
pH at 20 C 8.2
Ca 22 mg/l
MG 0.7 mg/l
SO4 3.9 mg/l
NA 17 mg/l
Cl 6.5 mg/l...
You will be fine! Made one partial mash and then stepped up to Biab after that. No beer has been catastrophic. But remember the max percentage of specialty grains thats the only problem i've had. I had a beer tasted like drinking almond juice - thank god it mellowed out.
Heres a good link...
I sugest you create a new document with the size of your printing paper.
Then go to your label:
Flatten image:
Layer> Flatten image so its just one layer
Copy this to the A4 document and duplicate for the desired amount by using move tool (Hotkey V)
When you print make sure you do...
Here is a zipped file, with psd files so its already transparent.
If you want text in the ribbon heres a fast tutorial how to arc the text. :)

Hope it works and happy brewing!
I've made a fast sketch for you. Since i don't know how you want it to to look. I made one just from a hop and its leaf. If you want the illustrator file just say and i will upload that too. :)
Do you have illustrator? If you want it from photos photoshop is the best. When it comes to vector illustrator is best. If you do have illustrator please send me a picuture of a bee you like (the composition) and i will help you out. :)
