Does anyone know where I can buy parts for a Ferrari Avvinatore Vinator (You know... that red and white bottle rinsing thing)?
I dropped mine the other day and broke the threads of the white housing that contains the spring and plunger.
I know I could just spend the 20 bucks and buy...
Is there a benifit to natural carbing over forced? I've got the bottle and the gas on hand so it seems to me like a wash whether I do it one way or the other.
Thanks again to everyone for taking the time to help me out.
Thanks for the advice.
I did watch to make sure the transfer went smooth and I made sure the head space was oxygen free. That pressurize than purge thing happens naturally if you push your sanitizer out of the keg with co2. CO2, being heavier than air, will fill up the keg and stay there even...
I'm getting married in October and I've started making beer for it this month. I'm ready to keg 2 batches and free up some carboys(btw this will be my first kegging attempt).
Everyone talks about carbing it than surving it immediately but is there anything I should be thinking about if I want...
I've been watching for a couple days now and I love it. I've. One up with a way to bring some facts to it but I'm away from my house for a while so I'm hoping someone will take over for me and report the findings. Or I'll just do it when I get back home.
Step 1: Do the pour and mark method and...
I've heard of people re-annealing (heating it up to a certain temperature then letting it cool down slowly) the tubing to get it soft again. I have done with aluminum and it's worked out but never tried copper and couldn't give you a temperature to shoot for. But, if you've got access to a...
Personally I find that air bends never look very good after they've been straitened and re-bent. They also seem to kink more easily the 2nd time around. If you've got something to bend around that'll help a lot. I'm not trying to discourage you from trying it though, just sharing a little...
I pitched a pack of American Lager last weekend (10/30) and it just started bubbling last night (11/05). That's a whole lot longer than I would have liked but I'm going to go with it and see how it comes out.
One thing that would look cool (not necessarily cost effective, but may be worth looking into) would be to have it plated, hot dip galvanized or possibly anodized.
Sounds like a lot of fuss for .001 accuracy in you measurements. I'd be willing to bet that actual wort temp vs. calibrated liquid temp of the hydrometer would throw your accuracy off more than the point on the meniscus at which you read. I just do it the same and call that good.
