Yeah it was weird, I only boiled for about 10 min and I thought for sure that I used a full liter. I must have spaced it on the measure cause I know there is no way I boiled off that much liquid in 10 min.

So I just made my first starter. I am starting with a 1l starter and am going to step up to two liters tomorrow.
I boiled my 1l water to 100g dme and after some of the water boiled off I am left with 600ml of wort.
Do I just add more water to bring that back up to 1000ml?
Sorry, another quick question.
Since I am using the propagator pack, would I benefit from stepping up my starter from say 1l to 2l, or should I just go ahead and make the 2l starter?
