    force carbonation question

OK I just measured it, its 5'2" of 3/16".....is that going to be pretty bad? I just ordered it and it came that length from the online beer supply place...surprised they would package it with 5' if its not enough. This is only a 5 gallon corny keg, if that makes a difference. I'll go ahead and...

    force carbonation question

So are you saying I should leave the co2 and regulator connected the whole time, ie during the 30psi 24 hours and 20psi for 15 hours? My beer line right now is just a picnic faucet a few feet. Thanks

    force carbonation question

I just kegged my first batch. I had the batch cool down quite a bit then transferred to the keg, then I put about 20 psi into the keg and let held the pressure release open on the top to bleed out the excess oxygen on top. I'd like to force carbonate so that it will be ready to drink in a few...

    first time kegging question

OK I suspected something like that might be the case...just wasn't sure how much it mattered right before pressurizing the beer, I thought maybe pressurizing right away would chase any oxygen out. OK I'll just use a siphon. Thanks guys. Wow TallDan you're from Waukegan? Let me know if you're...

    first time kegging question

I'm about to keg for the first time.. I have my carboy sitting in a cold area of the house "cold crashing", however, I noticed there might be a bit of sediment in the carboy and I would like to filter it out when transferring it into my keg. Would it be ok to just pour the carboy into the keg...

    Oxyclean for cleaning primary bucket

I couldn't find my PBW so I used Oxyclean to soak my primary plastic bucket, auto siphon and hose after I transferred the beer to the Secondary...should be ok right? Or is there any chemicals in that that would be bad for cleaning plastic brewing equipment?

    Illinois Blichmann 15 gallon Boilermaker - $350

Brand new, never used 15 gallon Blichmann Boilermaker. The 1/2" NPT stainless barb is included. This is too big for my needs so I'm offering it at a discount, normally it goes for over $400 and these generally never go on sale so if you are looking for one of these for a great price, shoot me an...

Kegerator Build Igloo 4.6 FR465, Haier HNSE05, Kenmore 183.94679 and possibly others

Yeah I think you're right about the metal conduit, the small black one that I hit was between the metal top and the foam when I hit it, the refrigerant escaped. I've already ordered another fridge same exact model, just will be 10 times more careful next time. Its kind of a waste this can't be...

Kegerator Build Igloo 4.6 FR465, Haier HNSE05, Kenmore 183.94679 and possibly others

I just bricked mine too. :( I had found a large metal line when digging up from the bottom and carefully removed the insulation away from that and drilled a small hole exactly in the center and a few inches from the back but when I was enlarging the hole I hit a different, VERY small line which...

    kegging equipment critique

Actually Keg Connection is the Amazon vendor I'm getting the keg from...Ouch I see I could have saved about 35 bucks if I ordered from their website instead. Good to know. If I order a 2nd one I'll get it directly from them next time.

    kegging equipment critique

I've been wanting to get into kegging but know very little about it and I just ordered equipment. I want to run it all by you guys to see if there is anything else I might need or if there is any opinions or feedback on this stuff. I already have an Igloo FR465 fridge that I plan on modifying...
