    ready, settle, wait!

Hi jdsaint Not long till your lager is ready, mine has just about finished fermentation. I am going to keg it. Just trying to work out how I can cool the keg each time I want a cold one, I might just fill a jug in the morning and leave in the fridge. Let me know how it goes on drinking day...

How long was your lager fermenting for? This morning is the 3rd day and the activity has slowed down, I took a temperature reading and it is now 21c

Hi mate, I have started a coopers lager myself, as with brown sugar the chap in the brew shop said it is not a very good idea to try. How is your larger fermenting? I added the yeast to mine about 3 hours ago and so far it has just frothed at the top. Has any one tried the coopers bitters?

    Yeast

Made my first home-brew today, but one question did I do wrong by stirring the yeast in? The instructions said to add the small packet of yeast, I did then stirred it in, but I have had a look on the company's website and it said to sprinkle it on top. Any help would be appreciated

    Keg vs Bottle

Yes, the man in the home-brew shop told me that it is better to go for a plastic keg at £20. So that is what I will try, he did suggest bottles if I want to store some for Christmas or as gifts for people.

Hello I am new to the forum as well as home brewing. Could you please tell me what is best, bottles or a plastic keg? Thanks Adam
