    Robobrew Again

The pump seized right after the boil. It was an actual issue with the pump though. I spoke with Keg King and they stated that a seized pump can occur because of the extreme heat of the boil. I am wondering if I should get the pump version or go with the non-pump and use a Riptide or similar...

    Robobrew Again

I am thinking of purchasing one, but I keep seeing videos of people's pumps seizing. Is this an issue to be concerned with? or just get one without the pump?

Spike brewing or SS Brewtech kettle

I love my spikes....the thicker metal will help for heat retention...I use it for my hot liquor tank and it works great. Also the dip tubes are much bigger on the spikes...it drains very quickly.

Brew Bucket by SS Brewing Technologies

Anybody else using brew bucket for wine? The 6 gallon kits recommend a minimum of 7.9 gallons primary, but the kit I'm doing doesn't contain grape skins, so I am assuming it will be ok with just 1 gallon of headspace?

Thanks! Haven't done a wine before, so I'm just starting to wrap my head around it.

Does anyone here use the brew bucket for wine? If so, do you do just a primary fermentation with it or do you still siphon to a secondary?

    Double batch fermentation advice?

    Double batch fermentation advice?

Ok, so I am soon receiving a 14gal fermentor, but I only have the capacity to do 6 gallon batches at a time. Can I put one batch in fermentor and let it sit until the second batch is done...even if it is a day...and then oxygenate and pitch yeast once the second batch is added?

    Efficiency Issue?

Thanks for the reply. That clears up a lot for me... I do have a nice Spike brew kettle, but I didn't whirlpool long enough and I forgot to run it through my strainer this time... Oops... I do have an immersion wort chiller that works pretty good... I also am getting clear beer thanks to...

    Efficiency Issue?

Ok, so this is only my 3rd batch of home-brew. I did an extract kit and only ended up with a little less than 4 gallons? Before fermentation, I made sure it was at 5 gallons before adding the yeast. Is this normal to lose so much with fermentation? What is a better solution to ensure I actually...

    First time full batch boil

Thanks everyone. I think I will stick with steeping with 2gal and then pull the grains out and add the full boil volume. Thanks for the help

    First time full batch boil

Hello everyone! I finally got my new Spike brewing 10 gallon kettle and I am preparing to do my first extract in it. In the past, I have always did the boil with around 3 gallons and then added water to meet the 5 gallons. Now that I'm going to do the whole batch at once, I was wondering how...
