Sounds like a pretty fun day all in all. Aside from the lid on issue sounds like you and your mate did a great job. When is the next brew-day? Brewed yesterday myself. Always fun.

Good looking freezer, now who was it suggested....? I would not be too worried about creamed corn flavored beer, and, as for what I remember, (and I could be wrong) extract beers are not likely to develops much DMS if any, as the wort has already had plenty of boiling already.
