Had a root canal this morning, so I had the day off. Decided to go ahead an brew an American Wheat I had been planning.

So, "Root Canal American Wheat" it is:

3.0lbs Pale Wheat
2.0lbs White Wheat
3.0lbs Pils
2.0lbs 2-row Pale
2.0lbs Flaked Wheat

1.0lbs Amber DME @ 5m

0.6oz NZ Hallertau 8.7% @ 90m
0.5oz German Hallertau 3% @ 5m

Danstar Munich Wheat Beer Yeast

OG = 1.055

Now, I need another Hydro and another Weissenbock...

:rockin:

I know you are feeling downright miserable right now, but...

I think some good ole American hops would be a better fit. Don't you think? I loves me some hallertau, so I'm not criticizin', just suggestin'.

Well, if it was a "pure" American Wheat, I wouldn't have used Munich, either.

The Hallertau smells good, that batch is thumping away hardcore behind me right now.
