which one of these would you buy

Both are variations of the march 809. Both have mounting bases and 6 foot cord with plugs.

Morebeer states theirs a high flow and list some ways its different. It is also $20 more at 150 shipped.

Is there something about the morebeer one that I should pay 20 more? I am moving to 10 gallon batches, I batch sparge and will be building a single tier.

yeah i looked at that one also, heres what i noticed. The one you linked to is sold by circulator pumps, the one i linked in chugbrew and the description on both says we are really usapumps with a different ebay store. Not sure why they would create new ebay stores for the same items.

Yeah I noticed that as well, just saying that I had great success with the one I bought and I would not hesitate to get another one from them. The seller where I got mine has nearly 500 positive feedbacks and the one you posted is a new user. Not saying their feedback means anything but its nice seeing they had sold many in the past with pleased customers. I have used mine on 2 brews now and wonder why I went so long pump-less.

Good call, I forget we have a march pump ambassador on the board.

I recall Walter mentioning that the Morebeer 809 has the 815 impeller in it. Everything else is the same as an 809 HS. I'll try to find the thread.

do you know the difference between these two pump heads? the part numbers do not mean much to me.

I do not, but the two heads look identical on their website, both photo and drawing. Maybe the only difference between the 809 and 815 is the impeller, which results in an increase in max flow and max head. This would be a question for Walter.

815 is a pump model, not a part number.

The morebeer pump has the 815 impeller inside of it as a few members have posted allready. The rest is all the same between the two pumps...
All our standard pumps other then the center inlet style do not have mounting bases and will either come with a 3' cord you need to add your own plug to, or a conduit box you would need to hard wire. When you see the pump combination with a mounting base and a plug in cord on the motor then its a special assembly for the beer brewers.
