Omphacomel is a style of mead mixed with verjuice, an acidic liquid pressed from unripe grapes. It is sometimes considered a type of Pyment, but in flavor was probably closer to Oxymel. This style is rarely made by modern meadmakers, although verjuice is still used in cooking and is available in specialty shops.
