^^Me thinks the grains & punkin went bad though. Great Lakes Brewing News covers OH,NY,PA WI MI IN IL...other surrounding states as well. Great lil paper I was previously unaware of.
Exactly! I just thought twice about buying a 4 pack of Surly Bender. I can't get it close to home. It's excellent, but comes in cans. 😥. In the end I of course bought it. I compared side to side with my clone kit. My wife actually preferred mine 😃
Yea laughed at those commercials. Trying to make a mega corporation seem as personal as the craft breweries.feinbera said:When you see those awful Bud "do you know who brewed your beer?" ads running on MLB postseason games, and can raise your fists, proudly extend your thumbs, and say "Yup, this guy right here." You pour your Sam Adams "slow homebrew style". You know to leave the yeast behind.
Habits are hard to break
Hmm, Woot?SWMBO came home tonight and said I had to start bottling some beers out of the kegs, she traded MY full beers for empties with her boss
1 full beer = 12 empties and he's going to do all the sanitizing and de-labelling as well
I figure if I don't have to clean the bottles and a 4 pack is all it costs me to get 48 empties ready to go, I'm definitely on a winnerHmm, Woot?

I guess that would depend on how good the beer was.I figure if I don't have to clean the bottles and a 4 pack is all it costs me to get 48 empties ready to go, I'm definitely on a winner

AND they know only brown and non screw tops.
Twist tops work fine with a bench capper especially for that 6 pack to take to a party so you don't care and have fun!!
When you bottle a 6 pack from each batch to see how they are tasting before competition time!![]()
Forget the six pack...

Portable kegerator on wheels is where it's at... That's 64 bottles for a REAL party.
I'm in the process of building one now. I got the cooler and two 3 gallon kegs. I just need to get hoses, faucets, shanks, and a paintball CO2...
did the jocky box method but this is my go to now!

i dont bother with the small co2 set-ups.. i just use a 2.5 lb cylinder with a micro regulator! works great!![]()

I usually trade full wine bottles 1:2 for empties. That's from people I know buy really good wine though, so the bottles are nicer then what I'm giving them the wine in.
I live in an apartment...I brewed a winter warmer Saturday and it is fermenting away right now, it's 55 out and the window is open with a fan blowing in to get the temp into the 60s. My wife is in a sweatshirt and under a blanket but fine with it because of the reason...
