Hey guys made a yeast starter at 9 pm central. Was going to brew today but is being postponed until tomorrow. Is it ok if I just leave it my closet another day?
should not be a problem. Depending on the size of the starter you may want to throw it in the fridge to settle the yeast to the bottom. Tomorrow you can pour off the liquid leaving the yeast at the bottom. I have not noticed a difference when I do it, but I know other people recommend it.
I usually mak a starter using a stir plate at 8 - 9 PM the day before I brew, and then pitch it at 3 - 4 PM the next day. If you're not using a stir plate, it will take considerably longer for the starter to develop.
