So I made a yeast starter out of wyeast kölsch II. However, I am really confused on pitching it when ready. Do I just dump the whole starter into the wort? I've read a few different things online that are seemingly contradictory.

You can do either or. But most people will cold crash there starter before they are ready to pitch, so you are not dumping 2 liters or however big your starter is into the wort. Whenever you plan your brew day, put your starter into the fridge to cold crash(assuming its finished properly) 24 hours before you plan to pitch into the wort. Decant most of the liquid, swirl the yeast after you allow the starter to warm back up to room temp to get the yeast back into suspension, than pitch.
I normally leave around .5 liter or a little less to make sure I have enough liquid to get the yeast back into suspension.

Yup, no harm in not cold crashing. Just for next time account for the time needed to cold crash and give it a try.

Noted. First yeast starter. Felt like my first brew day with how confused I was.
