Hi all,
I have a yeast question about EvilTOJ's McMenamins Ruby recipe.

The yeast specified was labeled as "dry". Would any of you have some recommendations on what yeast would work best? I have seen many other dry yeasts and I'd like to not mess this recipe up.

Thanks all!

Pat

Excellent, thanks for the feedback. I plan to order some supplies tonight and I'd like to have everything I need instead of making two orders.

Pat,

I've brewed a batch of the Ruby following RoaringBrewer's recipe, and it turned out to be an excellent substitute for the original. You can find the details here. I used Danstar Nottingham for the first batch (that I'm drinking now) and Safale US-05 for a batch that I'll be transferring to the secondary this weekend.
