Here is my plan: Is it sound?

Brewing 5 gallons of Denny Conn's Rye IPA, est. OG 1.073
I have two Wyeast Activators, 1272 American Ale II

My plan is to make a 1000ml starter the night before brewday, using only one of the activators. I will leave it on a stir plate overnight.

The next day, in the afternoon, I will pitch the entire starter and the other activator into the wort.

This will put me slightly above the Mr. Malty Calculator.

This is how I have been doing things for my past few brews and they have all turned out well. I just wanted to see if anyone had other ideas or insights.

Thanks :mug:

I usually just make a starter with one pack, sometimes stepped 1L/2L, but sometimes I just do an activator into a 2L starter. Never used more than one pack, never had a stuck fermentation.
