So finished brewing today, turned on the wort chiller and started cleaning came back, opened the lid of the kettle and found an extra 2 gallons in the pot. The wort chiller had a leak and apparently sprayed an extra 2 gallons in my brew. I threw out the batch and was wondering if the starter can still be salvageable out of all this after waiting a week for more supplies

Is your tap water loaded with chlorine? It happened to me once and I just reboiled the wort to hit my final volume, beer came out fine. To answer your question though...yes the starter can be reused, just stick it in the fridge until your next brew date and pull it out a few hours before pitching.

Awesome, at least I don't need to order new yeast. Yeah I use distilled water for brewing. The water out of my sink smells like a swimming pool
