Discovering full, unlabeled, bottles of beer that you don't remember making! And worse yet? It's really freakin' good beer that I'll never re-create! šŸ˜„

I really need to take better notes, print out my recipes, and glue them to my wine-box storage units...

I've never experienced this before, both because I always put a stick-it note on the box that contained the bottles with the name of the beer, the style, the IBUs, the ABV, the day it was brewed, and the day it was bottled. I also keep records of every beer I've brewed in several separate files on my computer (such as one file that includes every batch I've ever made with a short 1-3 line description of the details), so I can only imagine this happening if I took a bottle out of a box like that and left it somewhere random... though I should still be able to figure it out.

I keg, so don't have this particular problem. I DO, however, tend to save yeast slurry in clear growlers and forget to label them. So unless the slurry is green (IPA) or brown (dark beer), I usually have no idea what it is. Yes there is a wonderful invention called painters tape that I can write on (!) thus labeling said growlers. But finding it in this house is a mystery.

Sir, may I point you to Please delete.
