Wyeast Smack-Pack Smacking Temp?

Hi,

I was just wondering whether your should "smack" a wyeast smack-pack when its a room temp or cold when its just out of the fridge?

I always warm mine to room temp before smacking but I think you could smack it cold and it would work too. It will just take longer for the yeast to get going.
 
I pull mine out a few hours before pitching...and I just smack it right out of the fridge. Seems to puff up just fine, and fermentation bubbling always starts within a few hours. I've even forgot to pull it out until I started boiling my wort...so it only had 1.5 hours to get going, but my fermentation took right off and the beer turned out great!
