I bought some of this yeast about 2 years ago and have been keeping some alive by brewing with it every 6 months or so. I recall this yeast always being pretty clean but this time the starter had a really spicy and fruity aroma(maybe pear like). It is also not wanting to flocculate which I dont recall that before either.

Wondering if this is appropriate for the stain or has my sample mutated or got contaminated with some other strain. Can anyone with experience with this yeast comment?

Kind of looking forward to see if the fruity aroma translate to the same flavor.
