So I started using WYeast 1318 a few months ago and really like it. I've been fermenting at 65 F (well at least room temp). Does anyone have any any experience using this strain at a lower temp?

I've used it down to 62. Seemed to do fine at that temp. I did an ESB at 1.060 that stopped at 1.017. Not the attenuation level like 1056 but it's an English strain and made a very tasty beer. Not sure if it would have dropped lower at a higher temp.

Interesting. My last brown I did was 1.070 and it dropped to 1.016. I did it at 65. I'm wondering because I'm doing a beer as we speak and using that yeast but will be leaving Monday for a week and would like to turn the heat down as much a I can. Maybe I'll settle for the usual 65 this time. Or maybe not. Will see after I pitch in about about an hour
