I put a pack of 1272 in 5 gallons last night...it didn’t really swell much in the 6 hours after the inner was broken...but in the three times I’ve used a smack pack they’ve never swelled

But I’ve had this pack for 4 months or so...wondering if I should throw in a US-05 dry that I have laying around.

It’s been pitched for 18 hrs no activity yet.

The packs are typically good 6 months from the made date. You can wait another day or open it up and aerate again today with a steril stainless spoon. I had one recently that was 5 months old and it started slowly then stopped after one day and so I aerated it and it finished off the fermentation well.

I just gave it a stir...absolutely nothing going on in there.
