ESB, bitter, stout, IPA, saison, lager, pilsner, pale ale, brown ale, amber ale, witbier, wheat, rye, porter, octoberfest, pumpkin, winter warmer... In no particular order
I generally go for a good ol boring brown or amber. In particular anything with a good malty roasted character.
They're just a consistent pleaser. Which makes a good ipa or stout a real treat since I'm not so accustomed to them.
My hands down favorite, smoked beer. Specifically anything on par with Schlenkerla (urbock my fave of theirs) but its really hard finding a good smoked beer that isnt dark. Dark malt hides the smoke. Bell's has a Smoked Rye that's my 2nd fave after Schlenkerla, but it's only available at the cafe.
