I should be ready to run the eHerms system Sunday afternoon. I'd like to be ready earlier, but with family coming today and a second T-day dinner on Saturday, there won't be much time for tinkering.
I have my stand, my MLT, water-filtering filling system, heater elements, PID, SSR, spa panel, 50' of 10-3 w/ground, receptacle, 10' 4 conductor dryer cord w/plug, pump, 25 feet of 3/8" copper tubing for the herms coil...and a handful of brass fittings. Won't be as shiny and pretty as a lot I see here (which are some beautiful creations!) but, I have an extremely low budget for this project. I'll post some pics as I proceed.

Good luck, and I am envious! I'm aiming for February for my system to be up. Having to budget piece-meal a bit. Anyways, would love some pictures and diagrams or your planning process!

Typical me, my planning process is...do it now! And I tend to actually not make plans per se and do things in my head as I do the real thing. I'm pretty impulsive for an old guy.

Thought I'd throw up a progress pic

I have to admit that I deleted the mess in the background, which is why the top of the pic looks strange.
Left to right it's HLT, eHerms, MLT, boil kettle with CFC on top. The top of the stand and the bottom shelf are two pieces of a butcher block table top that I had planned to use as the top of my keezer one day.

Thank you for that. I have enough of my own messes to look at:D

So the HERMS vessel is only used for mash circulation? Are you heating strike and sparge water in the boil kettle or is the large vessel in the foreground your HLT?

**edit** sorry I missed your description

The large vessel (15 gallons) in the foreground is the HLT, which will have its own 3500w element. It and the BK were given to me by a friend who uses them to store wine in. They were originally containers for olive oil. They are much thinner than a keg, but they have a 1/2" threaded port welded in to drain the contents. However handy that was for olive oil, it'll be sweet for my use.
