Will an antique grist mill work?

I was at a local antique store and noticed a table top grist mill in the corner. It appears to have a conical roller that can be adusted to allow for different grinds. It's made like a tank, can be disassembled, and is in good working order.

Any idea if this would work for a grain mill?

Sounds like a helluva find. You can make your own flour too.

It had a sticker price of $65, but can probably pick it up for $50. It was converted to operate with a motor, which is included but probably 75 years old. Still works, though!

It's all cast iron with a small hopper which could be easily increased in size.

I think I need to make a trip to the antique store...

It's the same as this one that's for sale on eBay, except the one I found has been motorized.

You will have to see how much adjustability you can get with the adjustment screw....it says on the ebay site;

ON BACK OF MILL IS ADJUSTING LEVER AND SCREW FOR FINE AND COURSE GRINDING

But since it's a corn and grain mill....just a different style than the corona type...I really don't see why not.

You may have to do like I did originally and do some googling about how to tweak it for brewing.
