I always sanitize my "wine thief" by dipping it in starsan before taking a sample, i always drain all of the liquid out and shake it dry a bit, but of course there are still a little bit of starsan foam clinging to the inside. Anybody have any idea if this is enough to impact a gravity reading?
Will a wet wine thief or hydrometer impact reading?

No, that's fine. It won't affect the reading.
think of it in terms of volume relative to one another... assuming starsan has a gravity of 1.000 (same as water), what does 1 or two drops of water do to a pint of beer (1pt = roughtly 9500 drops)? ....relatively, nothing.
