Do I understand whirlpool correctly......so 170 degrees is temp that kills bacteria but doesnt really cook up hops like flameout even. Just sweet hops goodness
....huge difference? Could one immersion chill to 170ish and hop then and let sit said chart time and perhaps gather similar results?

I see! Thank you for article ....ofcourse there is a term and i am like a fool once again..... so get rid of 10 min addition and just hopstand

You could add the 10 minute too, depends on what you want to do. Sometimes it's just experiment and see what you prefer. I've been liking 2 oz at 10 min, 3 oz at flameout for 15 min, chill to 175F, add 3 oz more for 15 min. Dry hop with 4 oz. I've not done longer stands yet but I am curious.
