Which kegerator would you want to keep? I have two.

I got this Haier on local CL and it just needed a $16 PTC start relay. It is in great overall condition and came complete with hoses regulator, and eveything. It has a simple design with a compressor, control and cold plate that does not auto defrost. The cold air must just migrate up the tower to keep line cool.

Or I got this older (mid 1980's) U-LINE brand which had a leak in the evaporator coil inside the unit. I had to cut the piping and braze the leak. I put it back together and recharged it & works perfect. It does have a more complex design with 2 fan motors. One for the condensor outside that runs only when the compressor does, and another that runs constant inside. The fan motor has a duct the diverts air into the draft tower to keep the line cold. Overall complex but does auto defrost into a bottle.

Seems that you are able to fix any problem that will come along so...sell the one you can get the most cash out of.

I can;t keep both. I do not want to start down the road of having two kegs. One is going to be "too convienent" as it is.

If I were in your position, I would try to sell the newer unit for a few hundred bucks, and keep the older one. You seem to be handy enough to keep it running, and I like the fact that the older unit has a method of cooling the tap tower. That seems like the best bet to me.
