Brewing a ipa tomorrow and thinking which hop to use with galaxy?
I've used Amarillo and centennial with good results..
Anybody use Cascade ,Chinook or Citra with Galaxy?
Or any other hop goes good with it?
Thanks

It's very good by itself

If you really want to use it with another hop, I would suggest something not so fruity. It is a very citrus, exotic fruit hop. It would probably
Pkay very well with a floral hop like Amarillo and a dank hop like Columbus for balance

But again my vote is single hop

Thanks, I've done the single hop brew twice now...
I'm leaning more towards simcoe now...more dank then citrusy..

Something like this...
17gallon batch

Fwh 4oz summit
15 min 4oz galaxy
4oz simcoe
10-0 min 8 oz galaxy
8 oz simcoe
Hopstand @ 170 4oz galaxy
4oz simcoe
Dryhop in keg with 2oz each of simcoe and galaxy...

1.070 to 1.075 will be my gravity..

I have a galaxy/Nelson sauvin wheat IPA that's going into bottle tomorrow, and it worked out awesome. The only suggestion I can make is to use 1:2 nelson:galaxy, the Nelson is really potent stuff.
