I think I want to drill my keg for the ball valve at four inches up from the very bottom of the keg (or, four inches up from the ground when it is sitting on the floor).

For those who have already done this, is a hole up four inches on center the correct hight to work with Wayne's dip tube from bargain fittings?

Dip tubes can always be cut if it doesn't fit perfectly. You just don't want to put your hole too high.

3-3/4"-4" should be fine.

All of mine are 3 and 3/4 from the bottom.

And make sure you're not over the hole/vent in the skirt. It will heat-up whatever is immediately above it.

Thanks for the tip on the vent hole. I am going all electric, but by placing the valve correctly I can change in the future if needed. Thanks.
