Gunna attempt to use co2 to pressurise my beer keg, but the only place around here want me to set up an account and have a co2 monitor fitted, even though I'll only be using it for half and hour or so? Can anyone help, + ( it might sound like a daft question)but is welding co2 the same?

Yup. Most of us get our tanks filled at welding or fire safety shops. You can buy a tank from any of the forum sponsors (Birdman, Keg Connection, etc.) for a decent price, or you can possibly just put a deposit down and join a swap program at your local shop. Check out craigslist for cheap used tanks as well.
