After my first extract brew went so well, I think im going to do one more extract and then move on to AG. Are there any good videos or internet sites with good info, on DIY equipment and the whole process. I guess im just confused on building a mash cooler, and the process. I have done tons of reading, but think i would learn more from a video and actually watching some one do it. I think i am just trying to make it more complicated that it really is. Once again thanks for any help this site is awesome and has helped me more than anything, I know yall are the sole reason my first brew went so good.:rockin:

Thanks guys. So am i going to need to buy another big pot? Or is their away around this.

Well, it depends on what you have! I still don't have a pot big enough for the full boil, so I split my boil into two equal halves and hop equally, etc. Not ideal, but ok until I get the right pot. (I want one that fits on my stove, and holds 8 gallons). Most people use the turkey fryers and do theirs outside. I might do it outside in the summer, but the rest of the time, it's in the kitchen for me!

We can give you some good ideas on equipment and how to work with what you have.

Well i have a turkey fryer, with a 30 Qt. pot. I guess after mashing i can just dump wort into a bucket, so i can use my 30 qt. for Sparge water. Im going to try and get a keg some time to convert. I used to have two, that i gave away before i moved. :(

Thanks again guys, just got done reading all the stuff. (Man i wish i could study my school work this hard.) Just got done with my 2nd extract batch. I think im going to get a cooler next week and start buying stuff. Is it worth going with a 10 Gal cooler over a 5? Im trying to do this as cheap as possible and it seems like the 10 gal, are alot more than a 5. Im ready to get started on this!!

I went through the same dilemma- the 5 gallon vs. 10 gallon. Everyone here on the board convinced me to go with the 10 gallon. I can make whatever kind/size of beer I want- 15 pounds of grain is no problem at all. I could get by with the 5 gallon, especially since I don't ever expect to do 10 gallon batches, but I'm very happy that I got the larger one.
