When to dry hop?

Brewing a simcoe IPA .in my kit, it has a dry hop packet. When do I drop that ?

Simcoe is a great dry hop addition. I usually put mine in the fermenter 7-10 days after pitching yeast. Once the yeast is finished, you should be good to go.

I do something similar to this. I usually wait until fermentation is still active, but slowing down considerably. Since fermentation is still active CO2 is being produced which seems to help things from getting oxidized but not active enough to blow off too much aroma. I also try to make sure to add the dry hops when the temperature is about 68F. This seems to help blow off some of the grassy aromas and flavors from larger dry hop additions.
