Alright HBT, direct me.

I'm from MA and am buying every beer that looks delicious. So far I have tried many of the beers I've aimed to try (Old Rasputin!), and am now in search of more local-ish gems.

Suggestions?

I enjoy all styles. As I live in MA, I easily travel to VT for Headytopper, so I'm quite spoiled on the DIPA side. I very much enjoy deep stouts, lambics, anything!

All help appreciated. P.S....everyone here is so much nicer!!!

50/50 in truckee has a famous barrel aged imp stout called Eclipse can't miss it. South side has "the brewery" or something like that... they have a 9% red barley wine @ 5$ a pint it's a really excellent deal.
Also a brewery by the casinos, located downstairs building next to heavenly gondola. Not sure what they have, not really sure they make their own beer either. A new brewery is opening in south shore but don't think it's open yet.
Have fun

Hi and welcome to Tahoe! I finally signed up to this forum just to respond to you. :)

The "North Shore" has a couple breweries that are worth checking out. If you are on the South side where I am from we are really lacking in breweries. The first all grain one should be opening up soon. Mentioned previously The Brewery and Stateline Brewery are both extract breweries and owned by the same person. Both aren't bad and not excellent. I would say check out Dart Liquors. They have a HUGE selection of beers and a Growler filling station.

If you need help with anything else just let me know!

The Brewery at Lake Tahoe is nice. I went there and tried out their sampler, which is 9 or 10 half-size of third-sized glasses of their different beers for a pretty reasonable price. I also bought a growler there of what I thought was the tastiest beer from their samples.

The food there is pretty good too.

Alright, definitely going to Dart liquors. Thanks for all of the replies everyone, and thanks for the extra effort Tahoe BBA, I really appreciate it.

Thanks for everyone's help, I had a fun time scoping out new beers. Nothing beats my headytopper though...I did miss it.
