What to brew?

I have 2 oz of Cascade to try Edworts Haus Ale again but Im deciding against it. It was my first AG and my efficiency sucked at 1.041 and its too bitter now, not hoppy just bitter. I think I fixed the problem, (high temps and not enough sparging) but want to go with a different kind of beer. Maybe a stout? Not sure. Maybe Oktoberfast? Dont like malty beers too much though. Anyone have a good idea. Im open to anything that usually has a good outcome. Buying ingredients tomorrow.

For a darker beer I'd suggest an Oatmeal Stout.

If you want a lighter summer, perhaps a lemon lager / pilsner?
