What IBU levels start to get high for BMC drinkers?

I know this is subjective, but from your experience with homebrews, what IBU levels start to creep into the "its too bitter" level for your BMC drinking friends? Im thinking teens? 20's?
 
Well consider that most of those brews are in the 3-8 IBU range, lower than most wheats, I doubt the average homebrewer has ever made a beer that wasn't too bitter by BMC standards. About the only beer I've made that could 'pass' was a small Mild at 15 IBU.
