I've had to move the list.

It got to be over 10,000 characters so I needed to split it.
Please use this thread to list your books.
If you have any that are not on the list in this tread please notify me and I'll add them.

Thanks.

I have
The Complete Joy of Homebrewing 3rd Edition
The Homebrewers Companion 2nd Edition

both by Papazian

I have:
Designing Great Beers Ray Daniels
New Brewing Lager Beer Gregory Noonan
Brew Ware Karl Lutzen & Mark Stevens
Microbrewed Adventures Charlie Papazian
Extreme Brewing Sam Calagione
The Complete Joy of Homebrewing Charlie Papazian

All have the potential to be useful at sometime. Books are as useful as you make them. The Complete Joy of Homebrewing is a good beginners book. Designing Great Beers and New Brewing Lager Beer are both at the advanced level and can be helpful when you start to wander away from tested recipes. Brew Ware can be especially useful when coupled with some of the information here on HBT.

I own the following (in order of preference):
How to Brew by John Palmer (2nd and 3rd editions)
Designing Great Beers by Ray Daniels
The Complete Joy of Homebrewing by Charlie Papazian
New Brewing Lager Beer by Greg Noonan
Dave Miller's Homebrewing Guide by David Miller
Radical Brewing by Randy Mosher
Beer Captured by Tess Szamatulski and Mark Szamatulski
Clone Brews by Tess Szamatulski and Mark Szamatulski
Brew Ware by Karl Lutzen & Mark Stevens

Brewing Classic Styles: 80 Winning Recipes Anyone Can Brew by Jamil Zainasheff and John Palmer (anxiously waiting for delivery!)

Personally, if you could only buy two books, then the first two on my list (Palmer and Daniels) are all you really need. I have not read the last one yet, but suspect it will become another one of my favs, based on my knowledge of these two homebrewers.

All of these books are worth buying.

I have the following in order of preference

1. How To Brew (John J. Palmer 3rd ed.)
2. The complete guide to Beer and Brewing (Laurie Strachan)

I find "How To Brew" to be like a text book. Its a bit raw and dry but very thorough and quite deserving of its bible-like status.
""The complete guide to Beer and Brewing"" on the other hand, is a much more interesting read. It is the sort of book you can sit down and just read for the enjoyment rather than the science behind brewing. Lots of history with lots of glossy pictures too.

I've got:
1. How to Brew by J. Palmer
2. Designing Great Beers by R. Daniels
3. Radical Brewing by R. Mosher
4. Brew like a Monk by S. Hieronymus
5. Wild Brews by J. Sparrow
6. Yeast Culture by P. Rajotte

Just ordered Brewing Classic Styles by J. Zainasheff and J. Palmer, can't wait!

I have many but the only ones I have really found useful are How to Brew, Radical Brewing, Farmhouse Ales, Brew Like a Monk, Desinging Great Beers and Brewing Classic Styles.

I only own one homebrewing book:

Homebrewing For Dummies

Yeah, it was published in 1997, but I've had it for awhile! (about 7 years)

It still has all the basics in a reference style book without all the fluff.

If I were just starting out now, I'd look for a newer version.
