a friend owns a restaruant and i was wondering what type of buckets could be cleaned and used a primary ?i have a few old plastic water jugs i have used to hold coins in can they be used also? what is the strangest primary you have ever used?

Pretty much any food grade bucket will do. Just make sure that it is large enough to allow for a little bit of room at the top of the bucket to ensure that it does not blow off and cause a mess. Honestly, I haven't really used anything "unusual" to ferment in. Just the standard buckets and carboys you'll find at the LHBS.

Just don't use buckets that had strong flavored food in it. It will never all come out of the plastic. You wouldn't want pickle flavored porter because of the used bucket.
