Love this. Seriously, she totally kills this.

That is impressive. She really nails Gilmore's annoying to play slow then fast bends--the strings want to do the exact opposite! As a guy that worked for years in a guitar factory, I'm equally impressed with her guitar's setup. Getting a Strat to stay in tune through that workout takes some skill.

While enjoying the "What are you drinking now?" thread, CDS posted a lovely picture of a beautiful APA that I spent a considerable amount of time admiring. His picture got my gears turning at high RPMs regarding non-existent holes in my brewing schedule. Whenever I start pondering dumb but beguiling ideas Joy Division's "Atrocity Exhibition" starts playing in my mind..."This is the way, step in side!"

I do my best to avoid listening to this record. I don't want to wear it out and wear it down by too many listens. I want it to remain as beautiful, impactful, and horrifying as it was the first time. I haven't listened to it in three years, tonight I gave it a listen because CDS posted a pretty picture in the "What are you drinking now?" thread.

It's a funny ol' world.

Dancing in the streets; 10/10/76 Oakland CA. Also just finished a HB "Heritage IPA" after brewing day.

I guess maybe your were into these guys or never heard of them. They go way back with me, this song somehow came into my mind like a long lost "plate of shrimp" out of nowhere today....anyway, I suspect I'll be digging out some old vinyl soon...this stuff is way back under the eaves, with my dead records, grateful that is,, and a lot of other tunes which have not aged as well...

I "graduated" from camper to staffer at a horse riding camp in New Hampshire at the age of 14 and was actually allowed to drive the camp's semi horse trailer rig to competitions. The very first pre-dawn morning that I pulled out of the camp with a half dozen horses in the trailer, this song was playing on the cab's AM radio...

Cheers!

[edit] For context, I was already over 6 feet tall by then and had a vestigial mustache already ;) By the time I was sixteen I was my "gang's" go-to for alcohol buys...

I appreciate those indelible memories, soundtrack intact. I have one of those myself, with the same song. I was brokeazz and living in a friends house with his parents, Doris and Jack. One night, it was just Doris and I, and she put the record on and Unchained Melody blew my mind. It was the 80's, I told her it blew my mind and we laid on the floor and talked about nothing. They are all dead now, but they will live on in my mind, she and I listening to this...

[edit] sorry, we were listening to unchained melody.
