Czech dark lager from Good People Brewing, Birmingham. A touch of roastiness, a little chocolate and coffee, light bodied. I don't know much about the style but I like this beer.

I love Schwarzbiers. A very good example is Köstritzer if you run across it somewhere.

My wife got me a Shiner variety 12 pack for Christmas and there were 12 different beers in it. They have all been pretty good.
View attachment 866779Good memories being in Texas enjoying Shiner Bock and eat some of the best smoked meat! Other than that, too frickin hot. Nice people though

One of my wife’s aunts by marriage, is from Texas (maybe even Shiner, I can’t remember) and Shiner Bock is the only beer worth drinking according to her.
It's good beer and maybe if I lived in Texas I might think different. Great, not so sure. It was served free in the motel I was staying. After a 13 hour day in a mill it was a very welcome drink. It was well over 100 degrees the whole week I was there.

Does the mixpack include their Bohemian black lager? It's been years, but I used to enjoy that one.

Old Beermeister32 is nursing a dozen stitches this afternoon, Ouch! What better way than with a half-liter of Weihenstephaner Helles! Dann werden die Schmerzen verschwinden!

Since 1040 – Let’s see, Normans conquer the English at the Battle of Hastings in 1066 – 26 years into Weihenstephaner! I’ll bet that built up a thirst and a few stitches too – They could have been nursing those wounds drinking Weihenstephaner! No wonder they won!

Great beer, what more can you say. Weihenstephaner is perfection. Prost!

I remember Magic Hat. I stopped in there while on a business trip to Burlington back in the mid 90's. Haven't thought about that brewery in years.

Exactly, that was our discussion last night, when he brought it out I struggled to remember the last time I saw anything from them let alone drank one, I estimated over a decade and he agreed.. I guess they fell off the map.
