This recipe will be my first attempt at a west coast style IPA and my first 10+ gal batch (also first HBT post!)

Style: West Coast IPA
Type: All Grain

Batch Size: 10.57 gal
Boil Size: 12.71 gal
Estimated OG: 1.071 SG
Estimated Color: 11 EBC
Estimated IBU: 65 IBU
Brewhouse Efficiency: 68.8 %
Boil Time: 60 Minutes

22lb 0.7oz 2-Row (3.5 EBC) 75.2%
4lb 6.5oz Munich (15 EBC) 15%
1lb 1.6oz Carapils (2.6 EBC) 3.8%
1lb 1.6oz Flaked Wheat (3.2 EBC) 3.8%
10.6oz Maltodextrin 2.3% - Added during boil

1.8oz Magnum [12%] (60 min) 30 IBU
2.6oz Citra [12%] (10 min) 17 IBU
2.6oz Simcoe [13%] (10 min) 18 IBU

Dry hops
4.4oz Citra [12%] (2.5 days)
3.5oz Centennial [10%] (2.5 days)

White Labs WLP001 California Ale (starter) 68F

Mash Schedule:
Single infusion: 149F 60 min
Mash out: 167F 10 min
Batch sparge

Water profile (ppm):
Ca: 81 Mg: 15 Na: 6 Cl: 53 SO4: 181 HCO3: 12

I've converted from metric to freedom units so some of the quantities may look a bit odd

I usually aim for a lower finishing gravity so personally would skip the maltodextrin as well as add in a whirlpool hop addition.
 
I like the 10 min hops. Additionally, I’d add 5min and FO hops, but that’s me.

+1 omitting the maltodextrine
