First off, let me say :mug:

I've been lurking ever since I pitched the yeast on my first brew. I got a cooper's homebrew kit from my dad for Christmas last month, and, besides the guitar, I haven't been as passionate or excited about a hobby since.

My join date is fitting, because today I popped the top of my first homebrew. I poured it into my pint glass and experienced the most vulnerable and thrilling sensation since my first encounter with the opposite, ahem, you know. But as many of our first times are, it was just plain green. I can't complain, though. My first homebrew turned out tasty, uninfected, and with a nice head (also unlike my first.... well you get the picture). Just need to let her condition a while since its only been a week(what does revvy say, 3 weeks in the bottle or something like that? Ahh, him or Yooper don't really give good advice anyway:drunk:).

Since my first brew, I've tackled an IPA ( my favorite). It's in the secondary right now with an oz of centennial. I'm contemplating my next brew. I like bocks and wheats, so that is what I may try. Although, I did just drink a Rogue Dead Guy; I am flat out impressed with that brew. I've seen enough clones, so that one might be next.

Enough about me. I'm just happy to support my local HBT website.

Welcome aboard! :mug:

Glad to hear your first brew came out drinkable, if a bit green. Give it time. Patience, young padawan, and all that. Anyway, I hope that beer blows your mind in a few more weeks. And if it doesn't, make the next one better!

Hey good to hear your first brew turned out good. My first brew is conditioning right now its a True Brew IPA kit. It is set to be ready around the first week in February but I'm not going to lie I've been drinking one almost everyday since 3 days after bottling just because I'm curious to see how it improves and carbonates and I have to say although it is very drinkable it is not like an IPA but it is improving everytime I crack a new one open.

Welcome to the HBT I just joined a couple weeks ago too!
