I am conducting a partigyle tommorow ( Belgian Golden Strong and Kolsch). I usually just blend my water with RO water 1:3 when doing normal mashes and am pretty happy with the result. It got me thinking though how this will effect a partigyle style mash. I was going to sparge with straight RO water for my second beer (Kolsch). Is this a bad idea?

I would stick with the original blend, but sparging with RO should make it less likely that you would leach tannins from the partigyle grist.
