water ok for brewing in Glens Falls, NY?

Hey I just moved to the area and was wondering if anyone uses the city water for brewing. I figure Davidson Brothers probably does and their beer is yummy but I didn't know if anyone made adjustments or whatnot. I googled for a water report but couldn't find anything helpful. Thanks

Bottom of the page - it's a Word document. Looks ok to me, but I don't live there. How does it taste out of the sink?

You could also check with your LHBS and see what they say (if you don't get a good answer here).

Southern Saratoga County has crappy water, but I think Saratoga Springs and all points north are pretty good. If it tastes good out of the tap it should be fine to brew with.

Hey bwomp,

I haven't had a problem with city water. Seems ok for hoppy or malty beers. Just been brewing little over a year but I've been happy with the quality of my beers. Hard to read the city's water report no hardness/ calcium never called directly, heard sometimes the water engineers can answer questions better. If I send out water to Wards I 'll list the report.
