I know soda bottles work, but do typically aquafina bottles work? They are PETE, but I am doubting whether or not they can withstand the pressure, or whether the cap is strong enough, as it feels much flimsier than a soda bottle cap.

We don't drink much soda out of bottles, is why I am wondering.

Thanks again

No, neither the quality of the thin plastic bottles nor the caps will be conducive to holding pressure. Take this from a guy who likes to make dry ice bombs on the 4th of July - water bottles don't work.

Some water bottles will work fine. Just make sure they resemble pop bottles are are not the cheap flimsy kind.

The critical part is the bottom, it will pop out and make your beer jump off the shelf if it is not the soda style 5 pointed thing (I speak from experience, that was quite the shock at 5am).
