I'm going to be doing my first brew where I build a water profile from 100% RO water (my tap water is very alkaline and has hydrogen sulfide). I've read How to Brew and quite a few forum posts, but wondered if someone could provide me a quick sanity check on my addition amounts.

I used EZ Water Calculator Spreadsheet to come up with the following for a Rye Pale Ale. I'm planning on treating my entire volume of water(~8 Gal) which will be split evenly between mash & batch sparge:

Grain Bill:
9 Lbs 2-Row
2 Lbs Rye
1 Lb. Crystal 10
4oz Acidulated Malt

Water Additions:
Gypsum: 7.9g
Calc Chloride: 5.9g
Epsom Salt: 4g

This should give me a mash PH of 5.36 & the following mineral profile:
Ca: 114
Mg: 12
Na: 0
Cl: 96
SO4: 199
Cl to SO4 Ratio: 0.48

Thanks in advance for any advice. :mug:

I use Brun Water and this is what I get when I enter your grist bill and use 8 gallons of RO water:
Estimated mash pH of 5.41

calcium: 71
MG: 13
Sodium: 8
Sulfate: 198
Chloride: 20.5

I don't know what the percentage of CaCl you are using but the above numbers are for 13% CaCl. I dilute mine so it's easier to measure.
