Planning on reusing some yeast from an ipa I have in the primary...when I poured it in from the pot a couple weeks ago u didn't use a filter it strainer so all the hop excess and what not will be in there...will this make it alot more messy to get yeast out? Should I rack to carboy and then capture the yeast from it then in a few Weeks? Thanks guys

Mix it into boiled/cooled/distilled/whatever water and stir it up good. Let it sit in the fridge for like 10 minutes, the hops and other absolute garbage will fall out of suspension first. Decant and and reserve the liquid leaving the trub-sludge behind. Now put the liquid in a jar and let it sit in the fridge for a day or so, until the yeast all settles out. This time, decant and discard the liquid.
